This gorgeous dude was an owner surrender to CEOEW. Here is what Katie Leverett our trainer has to say about Goose!
Goose is good on trails in a group or alone. He's well trained in the arena, knows all his cues. Gets along well with others. He's gentle, sweet, and willing. He has a slight short stride every now and then, but it doesn't bother him.
We believe that Goose didn't hold up to the rigors of gaming. We believe he hated it. What we also believe is that he requires an adoptive home that will appreciate his tender heart and kind personality. We'll be looking further into the occasional short stride with the financial help of you, our supporters. It's very possible that with continued and proper conditioning, his reported lameness could be a thing of the past. Let's hope so! Goose is a GREAT horse. The fact we were able to intercept him from a direct sale to the kill buyer, and he gives SO much of himself to the humans in his life, this goofy sweet guy solidifies why we do what we do!
